Greetings to everyone! So, yeah. My name is Marla; an eighteen-year-old lover of kitties. I adopted my cat, Amburlee, from a neighborâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s house when I was ten…which is funny since Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m the one who found Amburâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s mother and gave her to my neighbors just a year before. As a small child I had begged my mother for a kitten and she told me that I could have one…when I was ten….and she kept her word. Ambur is eight years old now and because my father had custody over my siblings and I back in the day, well, I never got to see Ambur grow up. By the time I lived with my mother again, my ‘kittenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] was definitely already a cat. Therefore, now that I am an adult I have taken on the responsibility of a new kitten; Piper Maru.
Ambur is a tabby cat whoâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s name is so random that I cannot for the life of me understand why I chose it. Sure, itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a pretty name…but I never understood the odd spelling. Oh well. She is overweight, but weâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve recently switched foods on her to keep her size down to a healthier one. Sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s pretty much everyoneâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s cat…not very attached to me at all. Sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s grumpy and loves to say ‘nooooooooooâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]. We do have an older cat; Mittens who she adores. Oh, and Huey, who is my sistersâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] plus Q who is a young kitten belonging to my little brother. Five cats. Yes. Thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s five cats now.
Piper Maru who I usually shorten to just ‘Piperâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] is extremely fluffy. Most of her looks like a fluffy Ambur, but her belly is white. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve only had her with me for less than a week…but sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s slept on my head every night so far. I adore her. She was named after Gillian Anderson (actress and a hero of mine because of her role on The X-Files and her great acting ability in general)â€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s daughter in ‘real lifeâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]. Creepy of me, eh?
I look forward to becoming a part of this community!
