We have been sort of a rescue for other animals, not just cats.

A few years ago, I rescued my current cat from my MIL who treated him like garbage.

He's the most lovable cat in the world, follows me everywhere and sleeps with me as well.

Fluffy is a Persian mix, about 8 years old. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3&l=d4578b9bc5

I rescued a lab over a year ago, he's getting on in age, he's 10 years old and very lazy. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3&l=56b78d3c51

This was the stray we had rescued last year who sadly died in July last year. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3&l=29b08266d0

The guinea pigs that we've had for just over a year now. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3&l=69bc110ef8

The gerbils we got just over a month ago. They were guaranteed to both be male, but it turns out they're not. We're expecting babies at some point, it's just going to happen. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3&l=c6bbd706ba

We have one hamster, but I don't have any photos uploaded of her. At one point we had 12 hamsters, but they have all since died.

And the rescues are posted in another topic.

That's awesome! Good for you for rescuing pets instead of buying them from a breeder.

I can't wait till I have a house to my own and can adopt rescue animals. I feel so bad because they don't get a very good reputation here, even my parents are wary of them. It's a shame really.
