Every weekend my local PetSmart shows cats from the local humane society for adoption. I was there today and saw this little kitten with gigantic paws. The card on the cage said it was an 8 week old domestic shorthair. Everything about the kitty looked normal except the feet. They looked like something on an adult cat. Of course this is common with puppies, and they just grow into them. But, I've never seen this with a kitten.

Is this just some anomaly, or is kitty likely to grow into something other than a "domestic shorthair"?

PS: He was really cute.

He might have had some giant breed in his heritage (like Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cat, Siberian) that are known for having big paws. If this is true, the kitten will grow quite a bit bigger, and grow into his paws a bit more.

So they can be like puppies in that regard. Thanks.
