Has anyone seen/experienced this before? The side of my kitten’s nose has darkened and is crusty, hair is missing. Not ringworm. Doesn’t appear to hurt or be itchy. Will go into the vet but in the meantime I’m baffled. I’m terrified it’s cancer??! Ideas? See Before and After pics for comparison.

Hi! I don't have experience with that, but you might want to take both those photos with you. It almost looks like blood coming from her nose in the first photo. Did she get cut, at the left side of the left nostril?

Nope. No cuts inside/near her nostrils. She has a healing scratch/scab from wrestling with her siblings on right side/bridge of her nose (circled with arrow)

but that’s familiar and superficial. The insides and surrounding area of her nostrils are naturally black/dark, but that huge patch is alarming. Never seen anything like it. Her siblings do not have it.

This may be an odd question, but can you wipe it with a tissue?
Apparently cat tears are more brown than clear. I have two cats who get very dark nose crusties on the side of the nostril. They will actually sit still so I can pick it out (sounds gross, I know) so I’m thinking this may be a bit of “boogers” for lack of a better term. For my cats it’s a super dark brown.

M Muggs Lol, I know EXACTLY what you mean about the eye boogers. I don't mind picking out eye crust either. I wish it was that instead! This is definitely a change in skin color and condition, not topical.
