Kitten Falls Asleep When I Kiss Him?

Shortly after getting my kitten I discovered that if I continuously kiss him on his face (his cheek, nose, forehead) while holding him he eventually ends up falling asleep. I find it really cute but don't know why it happens. Any ideas?

Just because it makes him feel warm and safe like nuzzling against his mom, and what a better way to asleep.

He is probably feeling comfortable, happy, and safe around you. One of my cats purrs when I kiss him, so it is most likely a good thing.
