Hi, I had taken on a kitten before we knew my other cat was pregnant, momma had the kittens, 3 of them and they are 2 weeks old tomorrow, my 6 month old kitten keeps drinking mommas milk like she’s one of the newborns,
Momma seems ok with it and is actually purring.
is this ok? Should I stop her from drinking it?
I’ve taken a photo just for the purpose of this post

Agree, its not harmful as such, but the demand on momma calcium will be bigger.
Am I correct in thinking goat milk is supposed to be really high with the calcium momma needs?? Not tried it but I’m sure my grandma told me this

Give mom goat milk or KMR to drink daily for extra calcium.

Are the smaller kittens gaining weight?

Is your 6-month-old kitten spayed or neutered yet?
Kittens are unbelievably healthy, all three are huge babies☺ all eating from momma good and consistent..

I’ve just sent a message this morning to my vets to hopefully get an appointment as she was born around the end of October so she’s only just hitting the 6 month mark which I don’t think my vet does spaying until 6 months or after, so hopefully soon she will be☺
