Yes, vet visit needed. He’ll need antibiotics and maybe stitching or things will go bad quickly.
Mom may just be lumpy after giving birth. It’s common and there are after pains as well. If she has another kitten to deliver she will have it in due time. Let’s hope not - 7 kittens are enough!
The panting is from the strain on her system from giving birth and nursing. Please see that mom gets a dish s day of kitten formula - powdered not pre-mixed. She needs the calcium.
