I need a little help here. I need to upgrade my memory and was told that if I had dual channel that I would have to upgrade both slots at the same time. I went to a site and entered the model of my computer and it came up with this (the specs are about halfway down the page, along with some Q&A for the system, which is an HP Pavillion 750n)

It said that this system doesn't have dual channel memory which answers one question but the other question that I had was this: Are memory cards backwards compatible? The site says that each slot can hold a DDR PC2700, DDR3200 with a max of 1GB for each slot. Below are the specs for my PC from the HP web site:

The HP site says that I my speed is PC2100/1600. Is it true that a PC3200 or PC2700 speed DDR work on my system?
Thanks.
