Hi! I'm Beth, and I've been reading the posts for quite some time and decided to finally register and participate!
I currently help run a cat rescue group that rescues unwanted cats and kittens from euthanasia at local shelters. We place them in loving foster homes where they stay until their "Forever Home" is found. We've really been blessed with some hard working foster parents and other awesome volunteers.
Currently, I have FIVE cats of my own and always have a bunch of cute foster cats and kittens around too. We also have 2 very cat-friendly dogs, 3 kids and of course the guy that pays the bills for this menagerie - my husband!
I hope you click the link below to see our hard work and learn a little more about Abandoned Cats Rescue. The bumper sticker below is something I created to give to our adopters. The picture of the kitten is "Theo", a 4 week old angel who was rescued from euthanasia at a shelter, only to die from a sudden illness a short time later. He stole my heart and the heart of anyone who met him. He seemed to be the perfect symbol for my cause - he didn't die alone in a shelter like millions of cats and kittens do. Because he was so cute, he enabled me to engage other people in the waiting room at the vets to allert them of the plight of these sweet felines. So many people didn't know that a shelter would ever kill kittens.
Geez...didn't mean to get so sappy on you! But this is me and I'm glad to be here!
