And Fran's mom, who drove them down here. Teufel and Kaylee are ensconced in our spare bedroom right now, as they'll be staying here for the next week and a half to two weeks. They're not shy kitties at all. They came right out of their carriers, explored a bit, ate, and played with their toys. Teufel is definitely a lap cat - every time I go in there, he climbs up on my lap for a cuddle. Kaylee would rather play than cuddle, and is completely enamored of the Boogie Mat in the room. I checked on them about a half hour ago, and Kaylee was up on top of a high (6.5') bookcase, and Teufel was snuggled up in the blankets on the bed. I'll take some photos and post them once they've had a chance to settle in after the long drive and encountering strange people and surroundings.
Jamie was his usual unfriendly self with strangers, but at least he didn't completely hide out from Fran and her mother, as he usually does when somebody he doesn't know is here. He's not at all happy about having competition, and growls at me when I come out of the room smelling like other cats. There's been a little bit of wailing at the door, but not as much as I'd expected. Of course, that might really start tomorrow, when he realizes they haven't disappeared overnight!
