I can't decide on which walking jacket to buy.

Our girl Gypsy was a neighborhood stray for at least a year until she finally allowed us to give her a forever home (Nov 2016). Now that the weather has turned nice she really wants to go outside but after many vet visits and antibiotics for healed puncture wounds, plus the other dangers, going out solo is no longer an option for her. (Since Feb 2017). I have a nylon harness that I have taken her out with a few times but I really want the security of a jacket. I have been researching and the Mynwood, Butterfly and Kitty Holster all seem like excellent choices. Has anyone used these (or another brand) and have stories to share on their effectiveness and kitty comfort? Thanks.

We used the Kitty Holster on our cat and never had a problem with him getting out of it.

We've used the kitty holster. It is fairly good. Not escape proof, but excellent. 

We use ones from http://www.hyendry.com/Hyendry_cat_walking_jackets_and_harness.html now as these are custom fit and they are very secure. We have the double lock ones which have buckles and velcro. 

There are many great jackets out there.

You all probably don't have the same challenge I do with putting a harness on.  I've bought several so far and all are pretty much a pain to put on. 
I'm now thinking about a "step-in" harness.

Anyone have any experience with those?   In my mind, I think I can lay it out on the floor, set the cat down on it with his feet in the holes and DONE!  (it is theory and might be easier said than done?)

Thanks everyone, there are soooo many great jackets out there. I had narrowed it down to four: Hyendry, Mynwood, Butterfly Cat Harness & Kitty Holster. I decided to go with the Kitty Holster Cat Harness since Jackson Galaxy recommends them, it's made in america and looks longer in the body than Hyendry. She isn't too thrilled with it as she would rather roam free again, but she is getting better

Also got a Mynwood.

Under her sweater is an H harness with adjustable neck and waist
It also has a chest strap connecting the neck band to waist band.
