Hi all
Yuki is our siamese kitty. Generally she is just this small loving puppy like purr ball.
In the last 6 months to a year Yuki has decided to start hunting for her true love....my other half. At first she would bring him pom pom cat toys, stand on her chest, and try to shove the ball in his mouth (we think she was trying to feed him). This was accompanied by constant yeowling....as cats often do when playing this game.
We removed all of the pom pom's because we weren't sleeping.
Then she moved onto the other cats toys. As soon as we removed one, she'd find another. These were also almost all removed.
And then came the clothing. During this past winter she has brought him:
His scarf
2 sets of mittens
his hat many times
my hat many times
and various knitting projects.
Now that all of that is put away she is onto socks. Sometimes we don't even know where she gets them from.
We know she does it out of love, but she does it all night every night and we wake up covered in socks, and find them left at the door when we come home at night...even if he goes to the bathroom she starts with the yeowling.
Aside from hiding stuff, we have also tried upping her play time in the evening, which didn't work out well because she never really figured out how to play (she's a bit on the slow side of things), and she gets lots and lots of love and snuggles.
We don't want to hurt her feelings, but it's been a year of noise and we are slowly starting to loose it.
Any suggestions?
