Luckily most Torties are girls, so Trout was easy to peg

Same with Zakk.. He is all black under there and its very dark. I still giggle when I think about how I kept touching under there, going and looking it up on the computer, and going back. I was starting to doubt myself b/c i was told he was a girl.Originally Posted by laureen227
well, i thought Cable was a boy when i found her...but in my defense, she was VERY teeny & probably dehydrated - covered with fleas, etc. she also has a dark patch that covers her openings... the rest of her underside is tannish/whitish except for the 'important' area! makes it very hard to see what she's got there!

Poor you susie!
You must have walked out of that vets office so PURPLE and embarrased!
lol, exactly! And there just a very slight bulge on either side if it's a boy...which can be confusing if you've never had a cat before.Originally Posted by MamaSquishy
Adult cats are easy to tell. But, I have problems with kittens. Like right now, maybe Jonah is still too little to tell, I am not sure if he has a slit or a circle...LOL that was how I was told to tell.
