I'm guilty of some of these.
Yeah, me, too.So far I feel I am failing miserably at this decluttering thing.
I'm the same. I moved and got rid of stuff, including the bookcase. But the new one is unassembled in the corner, and books still in boxes.Relocating is the only way to declutter for me... That's what I did when I moved to this place 5 years ago.
I donated half of my kitchenware and furniture to a thrift shop.
I kept all my books and the bookshelf, but the books are still in boxes and the shelf is not yet assembled. Sigh...
Me too! So far I've gone through my clothes and books. I started on paperwork then realized I forgot my daycare books so I'm going back to those.Haven't decluttered but am watching Marie Kondo's new programme on Netflix which is making me want to sort out the house!
I have the same problem! I've had to stay away from yard sales, Facebook marketplace, and anywhere else I'd be tempted to shop.I've been SLOWLY trying to declutter. But it seems like all I do is move things from one place to another. I've gotten rid of old clothes and books, but nothing seems to really make a dent. Now I have until June to get things together and organized because all of us at work have decided to get together and have a "multi-family" yard sale in the parking lot outside our office (we have permission). And whatever I don't sell, I will donate to good will.
The problem with this? I will probably end up going home with things my co-workers are selling.
Fourteen years here and ditto. They don't take latex paint so I am going to buy some stuff to start drying it up.We've lived here over 20 yrs. and still have paint cans in the garage from the previous owners.
I was thinking about just having someone 'doze my whole house into a big hole in the ground, after removing roommate and cats, of course . . . .They had a Hazardous Waste collection Day in my town yesterday and we got rid of a lot of old paint, pesticides, etc.
