Wonderful! Are they nursing yet? Do you think mom is done? If not, stay with her tonight! 😊

So she had the first two so close together that she focused more on the second one. I had to help cut the cord for the first one because she got tangled up in the cord with the second one. At one point she lifted her leg up and the cord was around her leg and attached to the first one and it raised it up in the air by its cord so I quickly assisted! But she hasn’t really focused on the first one. She hasn’t licked it dry yet so I wiped it off. It’s eating really well. When should I weigh them?

Oh my! Thank goodness you were there to help. Thank you!

Depending on when she is 100% done, you can even weigh first thing in the morning so as to let everyone settle in. As long as you weigh within the first 12 hours or so to get the baseline weight. No need to intrude right away.

Just make sure she is done and all are nursing and mom has access nearby to food and water before you go to bed, all should be well for now.

Still 3 this morning so I think she is done! I weighed them. I wasn’t sure if I should have done it in pounds or grams. I got a kitchen scale. So I did it in both and then converted them to ounces.

#1- black and grey - 1.009 lbs (478 g) -16.14oz
#2-black and grey- 1.016lbs (499g)-16.27oz
#3- white -1.011lbs (484g) -16.17oz

I was going to suggest that you reset your scale, but apparently you figured it out! They will not weigh one pound (16 ounces) until they are 4 weeks old.

Current weights are excellent. Is mama kitty doing okay? All 3 nursing well?

Yes she did wake me up because she was crying looking for me because I went back into my room. When she found me she jumped on the bed and started purring and pressing on me like she always does and she laid with me for a while. Then went back to feed the babies! She seems to be doing great!
