@betsygee's idea works like a charm, however you must make a point of ignoring her. Entirely and completely. Don't tell her "No" and don't move. You can keep her outside your bedroom during the night, if it's easier to ignore her crying like that (possibly easier with her not actually pawing at your head?). The key here is to do what you're already doing - playing with her and feeding her prior to going to bed, and then IGNORE her completely. You'd be amazed at how quickly they get the message.
