So I've been in my job as an event organiser for a conference centre for 2 and a half years, I know it inside out, I'm really comfortable here, my boyfriend works here too, which I love, and I have friends here. I have a couple of gripes, as everyone does with their job. Mostly I like it, but I'm not progressing at all, i'm not using my full potential and there is no way of progressing, I've asked.
I've had debilitating pain in my left hip for 17 years, and I had a hip replacement in December, so, while I'm still recovering a little bit, I'm back at work now, I'm fine and my hip is better than ever.
While i was off work recovering from surgery I was headhunted by a hotel I've been trying to work at for years. It's much bigger than the conference centre that I'm at. I've been recruited to carry out a slightly more senior role, so this is progression, and the money is significantly better. But I'm scared!!!!! What do I do? Stay where I'm comfortable or push on forward with my career???
