Hello and I'm happy to be here
Our more recent addition (adopted from a shelter a year ago) is Avril, a Russian Blue we adopted as a kitten (so she's 1 now). She is more of the dependent, cuddly type and loves to curl up on my lap when she gets the chance. She had a URI when she came home as a kitten (probably because of the stress of transition and environment of the shelter) but otherwise has been healthy. She's more of the shy one as well, but can be very boisterous (like her brother). She loves to play with catnip toys and the Kitty Kong.
Here's Avril in our catio:
And now a little bit about me:
I live in the suburbs of Paris, France with my husband. I'm a native of Philadelphia but moved here when DH and I got married (he was born in Paris). I'm a professor of psychology at a local university here and DH recently got hired as a doctor's assistant. We are so blessed to have two wonderful fur-kids and that number will probably stay at two for now.
Thank you again for this wonderful site and I look forward to some interesting exchanges here.
