Well, about a month ago I found a little kitten who looks like she was about 3 1/2 weeks old. She was being fed dry cat food and was competing for survival with approximately 12 adult cats and 3 other kitten probably a few months older then she was. I walked to the back while I watched this woman throw out 3 handfuls of dry cat food and shut her door. The neighbor told me that it breaks their heart because occasionally they'd find little pink babies with their eyes closed dead in their yard. When I saw this little fluff ball I was like hell no.. I stole the kitten and tried to save the other two from the same fate but couldn't get close enough. Once I put them in my car I confronted the woman and she confirmed that their was one little kitten who has survived and the rest had died off (That was the kitten in my car) I asked her if she thought was she was doing was wrong and she told me that if she doesn't feed them, no one would.
So I took my little kitten home and began to bottle feed her but her teeth were so sharp she punctured the bottle! I think this may have been a reason why she was the only survivor, I then put her formula into a bowl and she licked it up and omg it was the cutest thing ever! She was incredibly clumsy the first couple weeks, she always was falling over and couldn't climb very well, couldn't run and I was afraid she wouldn't make it. But now, a month later she has the most energy I've ever seen in a cat and runs around attacking my feet and her toys lol. I quickly used a technique my father taught me when I was younger, in fact, I was 5!
I remember it was late one night in October, I was getting ready to go home but I found a box under someones truck, when I looked inside I almost cried! I saw 4 frozen kittens their eyes hadn't even been opened and 2 little ones huddled together shivering, i quickly took them off and ran to my dad and I must have just touched his heart lol. A little boy 5 years old holding 2 kittens shivering and no way to see what's going on. I had saved up $15 (not a lot now but it was a lot at 5) a week before and was going to use it to buy candy but instead asked my dad to bring me to goodwill, I found a heating pad for $7 and a litter box for $4. I remember watching my parents bottle feed them and when they asked me to pick out a name I recalled the name of my favorite movie start kitten, Oliver
To this day, 14 almost 15 years later he is the fattest, laziest and happiest cat I've ever seen. When ever I get home to my apartment he gets up, walks to me, lays in my lap and expects me to pet him! Though at 15 idk how much longer he's going to last and when his time comes I will be a very depressed man. Oliver has helped me through everything and has been there literally sense before I can remember. My Oliver is currently at my parents house while I bring Dragun back to life.
Why Dragun for a female cat? Well it all had to do with her eyes! I'm a little nerd and this cat has the most amazing green eyes that slit like a dragon or a snake. I chose gun because she is always loaded with energy! She has never once bit me when I have tried to handle her, though she has been getting a little more aggressive with her playing, I know she isn't trying to harm me. Every now and then she'll start purring, kneading and sucking on a blanket and I know that means she wants milk, but it's so strange. She eats both dry cat food and a brand of nutrient milk called KMR is this good? But I came here to see if I could figure out what kind of a cat she is, I've never seen anything like it. I know for a fact she has a slight trace of Russian Blue, but after that i'm just stunned. She's the perfect little kitten, playful but still knows obedience, it took her 1 day to be litter trained, she has the build of a mountain lion and when she gets ready to attack she'll shake her little but and pounce like an actual lion. This must be instinctive because it was confirmed that she was only 3 weeks by the previous owner, I went back and spoke with her to tell her I took the kitten. She thought it died and really didn't care which made me very mad.. Her markings are black and white, with a beautiful design on the top of her head. And she does somersaults, ALL THE TIME, it's so adorable!
Well anyway that's my story as to how I found my way here!
