I'm an adult, and I live by myself, unless you count cats as roommates. I spend a lot of time with my cats, and we all benefit. I have two cats. One is 5, and the other is estimated to be around 7 years old.
I finally found the best food for the younger one a few years ago. I have tried quite a few, and Cat Chow Indoor Formula agrees with his system the best. I don't know if the better quality foods will work, but I hope if need be that they do. He's still pretty playful, and seems to get bored with most toys. He likes the "fishing rod" and other toys like it the best. I will be buying him a new one as soon as I get a chance. He has a meow that is higher in tone, and seems to mean please.
The older cat is very mellow, and loves at least 90% of the people he has met. When I got him, he was shy, but he's come around. He actually stays in my lap for quite a while, and falls asleep. Sometimes, I do, too. He knows when something isn't quite right with me, and tries to help. He smiles, and one of my friends thought he was angry when he was just smiling. I recently caught him "saying" Mama. He also "says" hello.
