I am certain that dogs can pass strep throat back and forth to their owners... but that is an ongoing issue...not just the 'Flu"......

You cannot pass a flu or any type of cold to your cats.  There is a very rare avian flu currently in NYC that can infect cats, and with great difficulty humans, but it has only been shown to go from cat to humans in rare instances, not the other way, and regardless, this flu VERY rare and showed up in the city's shelters.
