harness training

hi! im new here. im from chino valley, arizona and i have two adult cats and hopefully soon two new kittens. latley ive been hearing a lot about harness training cats. how do you do this? what are peoples opinions on this? thanks...

Most people harness train by putting the harness on the cat inside with no leash and just letting him get used to it a little at a time.... Oliver has a harness that we occasionally use, but he still goes into "slinky cat" mode (aka, acts like he cant walk just cuz he's got the harness on, haha) every time we put it on - I'm just not persistant with getting him used to it, but it is very possible and a great idea... if you harness your cats you can take them out to experience the outside while having a safe control over them... they also help to keep kitty under wraps at the vet - I can never keep ahold of Ollie there if he's not harnessed... too interested in exploring the room and escaping that thermometer, haha
