I have never heard of them, and I just went through a whole list of dog breeds.

They are a RARE breed from Silcly ( sp??) ... I met a local breeder who had six of them with her.. wonderful dogs

I'm thinking Cirneco dell'Etna = Dogue de Bordeaux

NO NO

Cirneco s if you didnt know better may be mistaken for a whippet or a italian greyhoud.. they are sicilian hunting dogs

bordeaux are French MASTIFFS

The first picture on this page is of a Dogue de Bordeaux. The post immidiately following says "Cirneco dell'Etna?" so, being that I did not see the previous page, I thought that was the picture being discussed.

I know DDB's well, have cared for many puppies at my work.

So the cirneco Dell'Etna IS the red one that I thought was a phoroh, some one said the mastiff was so I got confussed.

(unfortunatley it doesn't take much some times
)

I know what you mean! I said the person above me was right and even said it was one of my favorite breeds, and I wasn't even right!
