Help!! My poor little kitty Trixie has been having a rough time. Has anyone heard of this before?? Her front paw keeps getting infected for some reason. She is fifteen years old and only weighs 5 pounds but is healthy....as far as I know. She was declawed (front only) when she was a kitten. My vet at the time did a terrible job...seemed to have just ripped her claws out. Pads are deformed looking. Her paws always have been sensitive ever since. About a month ago, she had to have a minor amputation of one of her digits. Her paw pad had become inflamed and infected. The vet we go to now said the infection was in her bone so he removed the end of one of her digits...the middle one. Now the one next to it seems to be doing the same thing! She's back on antibiotics, but I don't know if it's doing any good. Any ideas anybody??
