Today my sassy little cat Freya turns four! It's so hard to imagine that she's already been in my life for a bit more than a full year, it feels like we've had her for forever.
If you know Freya's story, you would know that she came into my life last year in February, coming from a home where her brothers picked on her constantly, pulling her fur, keeping her from eating. She was such a scraggly, skinny thing when we first got her, so timid and yet willing to love the first day we got her, to show us that she's special, that she can offer us love that she had never been shown before, having been locked in a room for the first two years of her life. I love you, my sassy kitty. Here's to 16+ more birthdays to come.
