FLEAS!! Posting for a friend...

My friend has fleas all over her apartment from her roommate's kittens. She called me for advice but I've never had flea issues so I told her I'd make a post here. Anyone know how best to get rid of them (on and off cats)? She says she's got about 60 bites on her feet right now, and her roommate isn't doing much about it.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

she is going to have to flea bomb the house. get the cats out and do it as well as vacuum everything with flea collars cut up and put in the vacuum bag (never on the cat!). Then give each kitten a bath in dawn dish soap, comb over them as best as possible with a flea comb and get some tweezers handy to pick them off to. then treat all cats with a flea med from the vet only.
