Found this today when I was looking through photos. This guy was caught by me in Alaska off our boat. It weighed 169 pounds, was 6 feet long, the tail alone weighed 10 pounds! It is my trophy fish and was like trying to bring in a barn door sideways!

hee hee- sorry, this is a halibut. No, it is was not stuffed anywhere but in our friend's and our bellies, and our cats. Our freezer was stuffed to the top with this wonderful fish!

Where my husband worked at the time, the men would always sit about the break table and tell "fish tales." All of them were avid fisherman, and most of them owned boats. The following Monday after our fishing trip. My husband had saved the tail of this halibut and stuck it in the freezer. That Monday at work when he set down at the break table, Jonesy his best friend said "So Mike, you got a fish tale for us this morning?" Mike took the tail out of his lunchbox and slapped it on the table and said "Yep! Sure do!"
He told me later the look on all his friend's faces was priceless!
