Eye Styes

Anyone ever get these? I can tell tht is what it is (I have gotten maybe 1 in my life) and it just hurts, but hasn't "erupted" yet. Anyone have experience with these? Would going to an Opthamologist help/is there anything they can do i.e drops or creams? Also is it a stye if it is on the top of the eyelid?

I've had more than I can count.  There really isn't anything to do except wait it out.   A warm washcloth might help; at least to ease the discomfort.  I used to get them more back when I wore contacts.  I've had them in different spots; but a sty is usually on the edge of your eyelid around the lashes.  You can get a pimple anywhere you have a pore; so if it's on top it could be that.  In which case I'd recommend a warm washcloth too.

I had a stye once. It took a while to go away but it didn't bother me at all.

I don't think it is, because it is just the blob that looks like a stye. Could be, though.
