Ok placenta delivered 35 min after baby. He's small (81g) but doing ok.

Silky's contractions seem very slow. Second bubble visible but not pushing it out.

Ok so here's where we are at

9.50pm kitten 1 born
10.25pm placenta delivered.

10.55pm kitten 2 born

11.04pm kitten 3 born while #2 Still dangling
11.35pm placenta delivered.

Is it possible she ate the other placenta as it was emerging? I was watching to see if it came and she definitely didn't expel it but was licking a lot down there so maybe?

Kittens are small - 81g, 50g, 85g and they have not started to feed yet. They are snuggled together and not crying. Silky definitely has more to come.

They are feeding now. Mom is more relaxed. Poor girl is covered in blood and I already changed the towel as it got soaked (as did I!!) as #2 came out with a big bubble of fluid first - feet first. And it burst all over me!
All look like boys so far but that was just a quick look so subject to change!

Oh my! They are tiny! Premature by birth weight. I'm really concerned for the 50 gram kitten. Please make sure the kittens have a heat source besides just mom, and you should begin supplementing them right away to get their blood sugar up, and get them strong enough to nurse mom.

Tummy down, head up, one drop at a time in the side of the mouth. Let the kitten swallow and breathe and go again. Try for 1/2 - 1 mL each hour.

Mom probably ate the placenta.

Okay! It's good if they are suckling mom, but they are so small that they will probably benefit from supplementing initially, especially if she ends up with a big litter.

Weights under 90 grams are considered low. Healthy kitten birth weights are usually well over 100 grams. These tiny kittens are probably the result of poor nutrition on mom's part early in the pregnancy.

I'd say she could have quite a big litter, if you remember how big her tummy was!

She's still not had #4...same thing again, bubble of fluid visible. She comes out of the crate to push and then goes back in. She's gone back in again with the bubble still there.

The babies are really strong despite their small size. But they aren't crying for food the way Elsa's babies did.

I'll sit with her till #4 comes and the get the kitten milk.

I think it must be breech again. Those are difficult deliveries. Poor mama!

Kittens may be too small and weak to clamor for food.

#4 was making weird sounds like it was choking so I swung it upside down and it gave a proper cry then.

Oh my! 42 grams. Good save though. Please supplement immediately. I'll be surprised if this one makes it.

Gave some krm. I don't have a syringe so was using the bottle but letting drops fall into baby's mouth. Don't know how much she took but shes a little wriggle!

#5 weighed in at 62g. Good loud cries. Silky more settled. Hopefully this is it now!

Teeny baby!

Can you get a syringe or dropper? You'll find it much easier.

So 5 babies - all so small. How many have you supplemented? Are they all latching and nursing?

#6 is here.

I'm getting them mixed up as they are similar except #1 who's more white.

I think I supplemented the other small baby thinking it was 42g baby!

But now I'm feeding 42g baby.

Both babies sucked from the bottle. I could hear it and see bubbles going back up.

Wow! I'm impressed that they took the bottle. They do indeed sound feisty.

Do you think mom is done now?

Six tiny babies. I hope they all survive!

Hard to know if she's finished....i hope so!!

She's relaxed and feeding and they are jostling for position.

You may have to rotate them. I'm still concerned they may need supplementing (all of them) the first few days until they are over 100 grams each.
