Here goes day 2!
A friend had been keeping the little one since last week, but he was having trouble keeping up with it's feeding schedule etc.
So last night, I went and got him and brought him back here. My other kitty, Tehya, just got done seeing her own baby out the door (my dad took him
) and I think she was surprised to see another kitten!
I knew that sometimes older cats will try and hurt little ones, so I was wary about showing Tehya the little one (who I've named Louis, for now). But she took to him immediately and set about cleaning some KMR off his fur. I'm still a little afraid to let them be in the same room when I'm not around, but she scratches at the bedroom door constantly and is hoarse from meowing.
Any thoughts on if I should let Tehya see to Louis? I don't know that she'll be able to feed him, but even if she could, should I let her?
And also, Louis is very thin... he won't take much more than 10 mL of the formula at any one time, though he tries to nurse when Tehya is around
Any suggestions/advice?
Thanks!
