A girl a work got a new tattoo over the summer. She is early to mid 20's, was married and had a son...divorced her husband before they were married 3 years. The divorce was just final and she went down to Florida to get a new tattoo. She had a few small tattoos before this...one on her ankle, the small of her back, and I think one on the back of her neck. But her new one was a picture of her son that went from her hip to her knee on the outside of her thigh. It was a bigger than a 8-10 portrait.
I can understand getting tattoes to commemorate events in your life, but is that a bit extreme? Or is it just me?
I can't help thinking about what that is going to look like when she is 70 yrs old.....it definitely won't look like her son.
I'm not being judgemental, but that is just something I wouldn't be able to do. A small tattoo is one thing. It just seems like the timing was weird. Maybe I'm too old to understand these things. What does everyone else think?
