When we stopped at Penzey on the way home from Vermont, I used a coupon to get a free 2.4 ounce jar of Northwoods Seasoning. I don't need it as I still have some in a plastic bag. I don't want the jar to go to waste, so we're going to give it away. The contest is open to everyone on the board and I will pay the shipping. If you're not from the U.S. I'll still pay the shipping, but make sure that regulations will allow me to ship it to your country before entering the contest. (The jar has not been opened; the paper has not been torn.)
Northwoods Seasoning is made from herbs (rosemary, thyme), chipotle, sweet Hungarian paprika, black pepper and garlic. It can be used on chicken, fish, egg salad, potato salad, etc. (I sprinkle it liberally on pork chops, on beef, and it's really good on roasted potatoes. I've used it in herb biscuits, too. And dumplings with chicken fricassee.)
All you have to do is post the name of a spice-related or baking ingredient that could be used for a kitty name: For example, a nice baking-related name for a cat would be Sugar.
I'll keep track of the spice names and your board name.
At the end of the contest, Mollipop will pick the winner. I'll write your board name on a piece of paper. I will crumple all the papers up and throw them down on the kitchen floor. The first paper that Mollipop picks will be the winner of the jar.
The contest ends on Sunday night, November 2. Molli and I will post the winner on Monday morning, November 3. Good luck!
