So my kitten has conjunctivitis in both eyes now and he is on eye ointment, drops, but now has decided he doesn't want to eat any of the lysine we have been putting in his food tonight. I feel like his healing is going really slow and I want to make sure that while I have this week off i'm doing as much as I can do help him heal quickly!
Just wanted to know
- I've been doing warm compresses, has anyone found that to be super effective?
- Anything you recommend as far as activity protection? He plays with his sister a lot and we have a cone but he gets super depressed when we put it on him and he wont eat or drink even with lifted bowls to reach. (I think hes just too sad to even want to)
- The doctor doesn't want to put him on antiviral eye medication because then we would need a specialist to look at it and he wants to give it more time before calling someone to see him. In his opinion he has improved (we see him everyday so maybe my opinion is bias) Did anyone find something that really worked for speeding the healing?
Wanted to get some advice from people who are more experienced than us!
