Hi Everyone!
My Male cat Cheddar, was diagnosed with structure crystals late August 2018, he was able to pass the block himself. But since then he has been on Royal Canin Urinary SO food, I switch between the regulr gel and the morsels in gravy. He has been healthy since, but yesterday and this morning I caught him licking his penis. This was one of the first signs I dismissed before he started having a blockage. I just thought he was being excessive about cleaning himself, and turns out that is an indicative sign. My concerns are that maybe the morsels in gravy are causing a calcium oxate stone to form? From the active ingredient DL-methionine. I don’t know how often they can have it or if anyone else has had problems with the food. I may end up calling the vet just to be safe. I just want to be as proactive as possible!
