I have a male kitten that I adopted when he was 4 months old. He is now 9 months old. Every since I got him he has had diahrrea. I had taken him to the vet who ran all the tests but couldn't find anything wrong with him. The vet also said that the cat looks so very healthy he would never have guessed he had diahrrea. He put him on probiotics but they didn't help. I tried different high quality foods and a grain-free food but they didn't help either. I tried yogurt but he won't eat it. I have finally been able to get him to eat pumpkin if I mix it into his dry cat food.
The pumpkin seems to be making a difference. I have been mixing about a teaspoon in with his food at each mealtime (three times a day).
I was wondering if I should be giving it at every meal like that or if its only needed at one meal per day? Also, do I need to feed it for the rest of his life or has the pumpkin "fixed" the problem?
