Just had to share.....in October, my cholesterol was 256! Now it is down to 196!! I've lost 16 pounds, started walking a mile every day and have cut out all the wrong foods!! YIPEEE!!!!!

Suzie, You should also ask your doc what your cholesterol ratio is, that is seen as a more "telling' number. If you have a copy of your blood work you can find out yourself. Divide your HDL (the "good" cholesterol number) into your total cholesterol number, in your case the 196mg/dl. For example if you total cholesterol is 200 and your HDL is 50, you get a ratio of 4:1.
