i wrote a while back about Charlie, the feral cat I brought inside in January because it was so cold. I couldn’t decide whether to keep him inside or release him, but with support from forum members, I decided to keep him inside. I took him to the vet. He had been neutered and released previously, but was treated for parasites and had dental work and some teeth extractions. It’s been a long process and Charlie still prefers to spend his time in his safe room, but he’s gone from complete fear of humans to allowing me to pet him and this week he finally let me pick him up and hold him, staying calm while I petted him and scratched his ears and finally gently put him down and gave him some treats. I just wanted to share this success with the group.
