I have a lot of cats so when one comes home with a scratch or a scab, we don’t panic. My cat Greg came home a couple weeks ago with a hairless patch and then the next day it turned into a scab... we assumed he got into a fight. So we just put a antibiotic spray (it’s like neosporin, but for animals). He was finally getting better and then we noticed my other cat Kevin has a mini version of what he had. It’s much smaller, but is a hairless patch turning to a scab.

I don’t know what it could be.... I have thought of ringworm, but we have dealt with that before and it’s not like this. It spread much faster and we got it, the dogs got it and so did all the cats. It was a mess.

He has a vet appointment but not until later in the week. How serious is this?

Not sure. It could still be ringworm, which can act and look differently in cold weather, as it is a fungus. Only the vet can tell you for sure.
