TYSM. Didn't work for me. My iPhone has a mind of its own. Unfortunately, mine and its don't meld much.

Hi tarasgirl06 , to take a screen shot on your iPhone, press home button and on/off button simultaneously.

The other thing you can do is go to Setting > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > turn on Assistive Touch and customize it. Next time just use it to lock screen or take screen shots without going into the phone to look for functions you use often

TYSM. My phone is so wonky IDK about doing anything to upset it. It's more of a stupidphone than a smartphone IMHO.
