I'm on a 10 day vacation visiting family on the West Coast and my two kitties are on the East Coast. I have a friend dropping by daily to take care of them. Per the usual, my dominant one, Josie, may be gobbling up the dry food and overeating. I use the SuperFeeder to dispense the kibbles onto a large dinner plate. It's probable that Josie isn't sharing with her sister. I've asked my friend to switch out the plate with two small pet bowls and hope the division of food will prevent Josie from hoarding the dry food.
In any case, my friend reported that Josie vomited today after her wet food feeding. She said that Josie appeared to be fine otherwise and the vomiting may be due to eating too much dry food. My friend has already left my apartment and I just asked my friend to call me while she's at my apartment tomorrow. I think it's just a case of overeating, but honestly, I'm sick with worry. This is my biggest concern--my cats' health while I'm away.
Is there anything I should ask my friend to look out for in particular? I told my friend that if Josie appears listless, than it's definitely off to the vet. I'm afraid that it could be something more than too much kibble and poor Josie won't have anyone to check on her until the next morning.
