My Cat had kittens over a year ago now and I kept one of the babies. The kitten has never stopped trying to feed from her mother. I have since had the mother cat spayed and I don't think baby puss is getting anything from her mother. I was just curious about why she may be doing this. Has anyone ever had cats do this before?

The mother cat doesn't mind it at all. She uses it as a chance to clean the younger cats ears. :)

It's pretty normal. I picked up a pregnant stray and kept one of her sons, and she allowed him to nurse until he was nearly a year old. She did eventually cut him off but not all mama cats will. As long as the mama cat doesn't mind, and her daughter isn't nursing so much that it causes physical problems (bleeding nipples or something like that), it's harmless.
