My cat has a repeat prescription for metacam and I have been giving it in the evenings. Would it be better to give in the morning or not make much difference?
Thank you
Thank you
Please look into chiropractic and/or acupuncture.Thank you for replies.
He is on this for long term pain management. We have spoken with our vet extensively about other options but this we have been advised is the best. I agree, pain management options for cats is very lacking. Balancing managing the pain with his quality of life has been fraught with worry.
We have blood work taken and SDMA test done regularly so that we are able to monitor his kidneys more closely.
I do sometimes feel like I’m robbing Peter to pay Paul. Helping one issue but potentially creating another.
Laser therapy has been a staple in this house for our dogs competing in agility when it comes to injuries.Thank you, I will.
Laser therapy has also been recommended, I will discuss with vet.
I certainly hope they are if you find a practice you're happy with =)Thank you, I feel very optimistic that these extra therapies will be beneficial to him now!
For what condition or issue is he on the pain management?Thank you for replies.

OW! That does sound terribly painful, poor guy! (Is his name, Pix?)He has lumbosacral disease and he was in terrible pain. It was a Sunday and we rushed him to our vet who gave him two pain relief shots. We arranged for X-rays the next day, which showed the problem.
He is just over 12. ...
