Hey, this is a simple question.

Nala (now 2 years old) has been losing some weight recently, only by some grams but it's noticeable, a bit like she's gained definition? She was 4kg last time we checked so she's hovering around that and 3.8-3.9kg. Her fur is a bit more scruffy as she's also shedding A LOT. It's getting warmer (we've had a week or so of sunshine in the UK) and she's not eating as often. Not sure if it's a summer/changing season thing or whether she doesn't like her bowl. She also has a habit of eating a bit of her food and then leaving it, returning much later.

I'm not terribly worried but thought it's best to check.

Weight fluctuation on the level of grams could be the difference between weighing her after a meal & before the litter box one day, and after a big poop the next time. Or differences in hydration.

If you’re concerned, weigh her every day for a week or two and look at the bigger picture (I’d say weigh her for two weeks and plot the moving average to smooth out day to day fluctuations, but I’m also a statistician so... :D)
