So Bucky has recently taken a liking to eating his collar, well trying to. Since we've moved (mid June), he's lost one collar and I have no clue where it went. I haven't seen a single trace of it in a week. At first, I thought he was trying to play with the bell... until he tried to rip the bell off. I took the bell off that collar and then it went missing. Now we are on collar #2, which is a Kong collar with a bell.
He's a devious little cat so I had left the bell to keep track of him in a 2 story house. However, he's gotten to where he will turn into a contortionist and twist his neck around to get the bell in his mouth. Bucky will walk around with that bell in his mouth, neck twisted sideways, pulling on his own collar until I tell him to stop. This morning I finally broke down and caught him so I could take the bell off. Now he's laying in the floor in front of me trying to chew on the collar itself.
Has anyone ever had a cat that did this? This just started recently, like maybe 2 weeks ago, and he's had collars on long before that since he was an indoor/outdoor cat at my previous house. Here, he stays indoors but I just haven't bothered taking the collar off as he didn't seem to mind....until now.
