Ugh. Synopsis: CatThing1 ate a cooked drumstick and a cooked thigh bone this morning. If it matters, CatThing1 is an indoor only cat fed with Fancy Feast. However, CatThing1 is a former stray, and we think he spent at least 6 months without a home.
I ate leftover KFC last night and threw the bones, wrapped in a paper towel, away in the trash can in my room. I have two male cats. They are orange tabby Maine coons. CatThing1 was veeeerry interested in my trash can last night. I only had to tell him no and shoo him away once and he left it alone. I, stupidily, thought that was the end of that and CatThing1 would forget about it, so I forgot about it.
This morning, around 11am, I come back to my room and find my trash can upturned. The bones are GONE. I left my room sometime around 9:45am this morning, so I know neither cat got into my trash last night. Both cats had already eaten breakfast. I'm 98% sure CatThing1 is the culprit, because he is a notorious food thief and CatThing2 pukes if he eats too much. So, basically CatThing1 got two chicken bones (a drumstick and a thigh) and I've heard all the horror stories. He is acting completely fine (dozing on the couch in the sun right now). I prodded his belly and didn't feel any hardness. Do I just wait it out?
