My cat has recently started butt scooting. I have seen her twice her butt has been clean when she does it so I'm not sure if it's just an itch or more. It started a couple of days ago. Should I take her to the vet to make sure she is alright? TMI but her poops look normal and are regular.

Hello and welcome to TCS :wave3:

Butt scooting is a sign of a possible plugged anal gland or irritation or he might have parasitic worms.

Please bring him to the vet for a check

I agree. Perhaps not the most alarming of situations, but there is surely something. And as you dont clearly see what it is and thus cant help with any home remedy, its to the vet. Yes, its a vet errand.

As quickly you can arrange it, but emergency vet isnt necessary here.

Thank you guys! A little later I found a worm and we got her on medication that night! I didn't think it could be worms since she was already dewormed at the shelter but apparently the worms have been harder to get rid of this year.
