Brush For Short Haired Cat

Hello!(:
I have a short haired calico kitty who is shedding like crazy right now. We have a brush for her, and it gets a good majority of the loose fur off of her, but it seems to just throw the fur into the air with each stroke.
What brushes do you guys like using for your short haired cats?

Hello KittyCookie , I use a soft bristled brush for my boy. He's a DSH.

The fur will be caught between the bristles and I just use a fine tooth comb to get the fur out of the brush

The Furminator is the "favorite" here; although neither cat really appreciates brushing with any sort of comb/brush. Fortunately Mooch isn't a big shedder. Noodles just gets it in short sessions; especially during the Spring shedding! The Furminator gets more at once; so it helps me keep those sessions short but effective!
