When I first got Oksana I knew very little about cats even though I'd owned them my entire life. I was told she was a Russian Blue. That's obviously not the case, but I didn't know any better then. I wanted to give her a name commensurate with her heritage so I whittled the list down to Natosha (from Boris and Nathosha), and Oksana (As in Oksana Baiul). I obviously chose the latter, and unfortunately Oksana Baiul is Ukrainian, not Russian. Oh well....Is Oksana named after anything? Its a very unique name! Only thing I can personally think of is Lwaxana(pronounced similar) Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
