Back Of The Neck Hair And Skin Loss

Does anyone have any possible ideas of what this might be. It started out as a small amount of hair loss aout the size of a dime and a small reddened scab the size of the center of a dime.

Now it looks like the pictures attached. It is the size of a quarter and looks like all the skin has been scratched away.

The very fact that it is growing in size is of a big concern, even if it only means that your cat is scratching at it and making it worse. This is a wound with an infection - or soon to be.
