I didn't quite get through the whole thing (about 75 percent of it), and I'm as much a cat person as a dog person maybe more so, but there are some incredibly intelligent dogs. Plus, regarding the short term memory thing, --not to short change (heh) our beloved felines in any way but it makes me wonder, since cats aren't as focused on being a member of a pack, whether that has something to do with it all :)

I dont know if cats are smarter than dogs.

But I do know that greg and arnold, my cats, are smarter than I am.

I have to get up early to go to work tomorrow. They dont.

They were born "retired". I will have to work 30 years before I can retire.

Whose the smart one!

And they get away with laying on the kitchen table.

My wife would never allow me to do that.

I prefer cat more than dogs, I am not a fan of the barking sound. Although, I must say that it took me quite some time to train my tabby.
